Şenol received LL.B. degree from Istanbul University Faculty of Law (Istanbul/Turkey) in 1998. After had served as a military judge in the Ankara Corps Court No. 4 between 1990 and 1991, he resigned and started to work as a self-employed lawyer. His academic studies have been continuing for an LL.M. degree in public law at Bahçeşehir University Institute of Social Sciences.
Primary areas of expertise of Şenol, who has a career in the practice of law more than 25 years, are real estate law, cadastral law, investment law, corporate and commercial law, privatizations, state-owned enterprises, criminal law and administrative law.
Before joining ÖZATA Law & Partners, Şenol advised a large number of local and foreign companies and institutions. Moreover, he served as the member of the board of directors of Garipoğlu AŞ (Joint-Stock Company) and Yaz Bilgi Sistemleri AŞ (Joint-Stock Company) that both had been confiscated by the Savings Deposit Insurance Funds (TMSF).
In addition to these works, Şenol has a significant expertise on litigation. He has actively participated numerous important cases in Turkey and successfully represented his clients for many years.
During the period he was the deputy at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, he served as the spokesman for the Commission of State-Owned Enterprises, the chairman of the Turkish-Polish Parliamentary Friendship Group, the vice-president of the Turkey-Montenegro Parliamentary Friendship Group and the vice-president of the Turkey-United Arab Emirates Parliamentary Friendship Group.
Şenol has been giving lectures on political sciences, enforcement-bankruptcy law and commercial law at Hasan Kalyoncu University Faculty of Law and Hasan Kalyoncu University Vocational School of Justice.
Şenol, who has been continuing his efforts on serving his clients in a balanced way of blending practice and theory, has been assisting to ÖZATA Law & Practice in representing clients in litigation matters.
Atty. Şenol Gürşan is a member of (Kırklareli Bar Association 1992-2011) Istanbul Bar Association since 2017.
