Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bağcı received LL.B. degree from Galatasaray University Faculty of Law (Istanbul/Turkey) in 2002 and LL.M. degree from Galatasaray University Institute of Social Sciences by his thesis entitled “Place and Date of Issuance of Holographic Will (El Yazısı ile Vasiyetnamede Düzenleme Yeri ve Tarihi)” in 2006. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from Yeditepe University Institute of Social Sciences by the dissertation entitled “Withdrawal of the Will (Vasiyetnamenin Geri Alınması)” in 2012 and he obtained the title of associate professor from the Council of Higher Education with his work entitled “Liquidation and Legal Situation of Immovables within the scope of Derelict Legislation (Emvali Metruke Mevzuatı Çerçevesi Taşınmazların Hukuki Durumu)” in December 2017.

His areas of expertise are the law of obligations, the law of property, inheritance law, insurance law, commercial and corporate law, M&As, arbitration, employment law, enforcement, and bankruptcy law.

Before establishment of ÖZATA Law & Partners, Dr. Bağcı served as a research assistant in the department of civil law at Maltepe University Faculty of Law between 2004-2006 and at Yeditepe University Faculty of Law between 2006-2012.

After lectured as an assistant professor at Yeditepe University Faculty of Law between 2012 and 2014, Dr. Bağcı has started to work at Hasan Kalyoncu University Faculty of Law as of 2014.
